Minister acknowledges contribution of Administrator Mr Garry Payne

The Minister for Local Government, the Hon Don Page MP, has acknowledged the efforts of the Administrator of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, Mr Garry Payne, following his resignation today.

"I have received Mr Payne’s resignation as Administrator of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and I would like to acknowledge the positive contribution he has made to the Port Macquarie- Hasting community", Mr Page said.

Mr Payne has held the position for two years and will leave the Council on 29 April 2011.

"Mr Payne has had to deal with some challenging issues during his term and he has addressed these in a proactive manner."

"I would like to wish Mr Payne all the very best for the future", said Mr Page.

The Minister advised that a replacement for Mr Payne would be advised shortly.
